ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Somerset Township is seeking a reliable Full-Time Administrative Assistant to support the Somerset Township Board of Supervisors and the current Secretary/Treasurer. This position is a unique opportunity that could possibly transition into the statutory role of Township Secretary/Treasurer.
The Perfect candidate should possess:
· Professional public service attitude and a strong work ethic
· Excellent time management and organizational skills including the ability to handle public inquiries from residents both in person and by telephone.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and QuickBooks is required.
· Excellent bi-weekly payroll skills and submitting of Quarterly documents
· Efficiency in meeting commitments and observing deadlines.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
· High school diploma is expected but an associate degree or bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent is preferred.
· Minimum of two (2) years experience in business administrative and/or payroll is highly preferred.
