Outdoor Furnaces
If you're considering constructing an Outdoor Furnace either as a primary or secondary source of heat for you home, please note that the Township has certain restriction regarding the installation of these new furnaces. If you would like to have a full copy of the rules and regulations regarding these furnaces, contact the Township office by phone or email at 814-445-4675 or Jack Biancotti and we'll be glad to supply you with one at no cost. It will pay to investigate the regulations before you invest in an outdoor furnace.

FREE Clean Up Day
The Somerset Twp Supervisors are sponsoring a "Free Clean Up" on May 2nd from 7 am to 4pm and May 3rd fom 7am to Noon at WSI Landfill. The landfill is located at 7095 Glades Pike, Somerset approx. 5 miles East of Somerset on Route 31. This is an opportunity for all SOMERSET TWP RESIDENTS ONLY to dispose of refuse and other items (junk) in a proper manner for free. Somerset Twp. Residents will be required to take refuse to the landfill and place the items inthe 3rd party dumpster. ABSOLUTELY NO TIRES WILL BE ACCEPTED at the free clean up. Appliances containing Freon must be tagged certifying that the Freon has be removed.

08' Spring Clean Up Day
Somerset Township is sponsoring "Spring Clean-Up Week" during the week of May 5th-May 9th 2008. This is an opportunity for all SOMERSET TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS to dispose of refuse and other items (junk) in a proper manner for a fee of $10.00. There is an additional fee for tires.
Payments will be accepted at the Somerset Twp Municipal Bldg., 2209 North Center Avenue, Somerset from April 28 through May 2, 2008 during the hours of 8:00 to 4:00.
Rfuse should be piled at the curb or roadside by MONDAY MAY 5TH AT 6:00 AM with your identification tag attached in PLAIN VIEW. ABSOLUTELY NO REFUSE WILL BE PICKED UP WITHOUT A PREPAID INDENTIFICATION TAG!!!!
